Marcea Owen- Cotton Street Commons
Grace Ambassador
I started sewing when I was about 10. We had local 4-H and then in school. One of my grandmas made clothes and the other grandma quilted. I spent many hours under the frames of a quilt. I made my first quilt when I was 18 with the help of my Aunt. I spent the next 15 years sewing and designing clothes. I started quilting more seriously in my late 30’s. I didn’t like the patterns though and would always redesign them. I have been designing quilts, bags, and aprons for the last 15 years. I was the owner and designer of Abbey Lane Quilts. I started Cotton Street Commons almost 4 years ago. If I had to describe my style, it would be modern, whimsical and eclectic.
