Janet grew up in western Tennessee where, as a teenager, her mom tricked her into learning how to sew. If Janet made her own clothes, her mom would provide patterns and fabric; if Janet wanted to buy new clothes, she’d have to get an after-school job. Janet wanted those daylight hours to ride her horse, so she learned to sew.
After college, Janet’s job at the US Postal Service moved her to Atlanta, GA where she met her husband, Doug. When the two of them said "I do," they had no idea how God would change their lives through quilting! Several years into their marriage, she learned how to quilt at a local church that was offering lessons. She has been majorly hooked ever since.
Janet is the proud owner of a Q'nique 21X Elite, and she is in awe of the many quilting friends she has made around the world through QCT. Automation has allowed her to quilt in ways she never dreamed possible. She feels blessed to have Doug, who supports her quilting and helps her teach others how to use the QCT software. She loves quilting and is grateful to Grace Company for making it both affordable and doable.
